The short version
We collect as little as we can. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you send and use it only to reply. To see which pages are useful, we use Google Analytics, which records things like the pages you visit, your device and your approximate location, using cookies. It never receives your name or email from us. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell data, and you can ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it, at hello@naspenhq.com.
This notice explains what naspenhq.com collects about you, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Naspen is an independent creator, influencer and social media agency. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Naspen, and “the site” means naspenhq.com. You can reach us about anything here at hello@naspenhq.com.
What do we collect?
When you get in touch
Our contact form doesn’t send anything to our server. It opens your own email app with your message ready to send, so we only receive what you choose to send: usually your name, email address, company and message. The same goes for emails you write to us directly.
When you browse the site
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, how far you scroll, which links and buttons you click, the site that sent you here, your device and browser, and your approximate location, down to the city. Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses, and we never send it your name, your email address or anything you type into the contact form.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. They’re deleted automatically after 30 days.
Which cookies does the site use?
Only the two that Google Analytics sets: _ga and _ga_Y090CZJEVX. They help tell one visitor from another, and last up to two years. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Why do we use it?
- To reply to you, and to keep a record of our conversation if we work together.
- To see which pages and articles are useful, so we can make the site better.
- To keep the site secure and fix problems.
We don’t run advertising on the site, and we don’t use your data to target ads.
Who do we share it with?
We don’t sell your data. It’s handled by the services that run the site: Google for analytics, our email provider for messages you send us, and our hosting provider for the server logs. Google may process analytics data on servers outside India.
How long do we keep it?
- Emails and enquiries: for as long as we need them to reply to you, or to work together.
- Analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, which is never more than 14 months for detailed data.
- Server logs: 30 days.
What are your choices and rights?
- Block analytics: block cookies in your browser’s settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Ask what we hold: email us and we’ll tell you what personal data we have about you and how we use it.
- Correct or delete it: ask us to correct, update or erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Nominate someone: you can name a person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
These rights come from India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you have a complaint, write to us first at hello@naspenhq.com and we’ll respond. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The site is meant for brands and creators, not children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
